results

Two central design concepts emerged from the study. The first incorporates a warm air drier, showerhead soap dispenser and reclining shower seat within a single, integrated luxury shower unit. The second replaces traditional bathroom fittings with a series of tiles, including magnetic tiles which allow easy adjustment of the shower handset, tap-tiles activated by hand pressure and shower tiles which create a gentle cascade of water through body jets.

The design process behind these proposals was captured in a special publication for Hansgrohe, entitled ‘WaterFall’. Hansgrohe is now exploring the development of these concepts for manufacture in collaboration with the Research Associate.
