| The project
was supported by Reid Architecture in association with the Design
Council and the National Group on Homeworking, a body made up of
different voluntary organisations whose ‘Home Truths’
report (1994) created a background context for the study.
Reid Architecture is a leading international
firm whose design services include architecture, town planning,
landscape and interior design. It has a number of wide-ranging commissions
from commercial, institutional, government and private clients.
Established in 1979, the practice has offices in the UK, Spain,
the Middle East, Australia and Malaysia. The company employs more
than 400 staff worldwide. Reid Architecture’s interest in
the project centred on the use of low-tech solutions within the
tight confines of small working spaces.
