In this shiny New Year we are so pleased to welcome 2 new RED team members, Matthew Horne who joins us as Head of RED, and Nina Penlington who is our RED Co-ordinator.
This brings the core RED team to a full contingent and we are very much looking forward to working with Matthew and Nina as we develop the proposals for the future RED programme.
We will also be looking to recruit 2 RED interns shortly - stay tuned for details.
Our new recruits -
Matthew comes to us with a strong background on projects to reform public services. This has included re-designing schools, prisons and learning environments; spreading good practice between different organisations within health & education; developing leadership in the Police & Higher Education; and creating services to support parents and families. He has also worked as a strategist within government and as a senior researcher at DEMOS the independent think tank. Matthew is a School Governor in Woolwich.
Nina studied Technical Theatre Arts Design at Wimbledon School of Art, whilst collaborating with various poets on visual interpretations and performances. After graduating, Nina became Diary Secretary to the Minister for Media & Heritage at the Department for Culture Media & Sport. Shortly after the 2005 General Election, Nina moved to the Creative Industries policy unit at DCMS, working on export and education policy and Intellectual Property issues. She enjoys customising vintage menswear in her spare time.
